Contrasts is a piece which has been turned from Sycamore and has contrasting features. The outer of the vase has been pyro textured. The rim has been highly polished, where the inside has been left as natural wood.

This piece took over 50 hours to create. The vase was turned and hollow. Then a random pattern was marked out over the surface before the wood was cut away. Then the outside was textured using a very hot tip. the inside and rim were sanded finished. Polish was then applied to the rim to bring it to high shine.

Contrasts stands 295mm and is around 210mm in diameter at the widest point.
